Guild of St Stephen 20th Anniversary Pilgrimage to Lourdes

October 22nd , ten of us from St. Richard’s Parish were privileged to join the Guild’s Pilgrimage to Lourdes accompanied by His Grace Archbishop Malcolm. We set off from St. Clare’s after Mass on the Sunday morning, picking up some in Warrington then an uneventful journey arriving at our Hotel Monday after noon. After settling in we had Mass in the Hotel dining room and then we were ready for dinner. Next day we started off with a service of healing, after which we went to the grotto then had our group photograph taken.  After lunch we had Mass in St Joseph’s chapel then the walking tour of places associated with St. Bernadette. Each evening there was the torchlight procession. Next day we started off with the international Mass then after lunch we went up the Funicular railway to the Pic du Jer were wonderful views of the whole area can be seen. After this we went to the Blessed Sacrament procession. In the evening after dinner the altar servers did the evening prayer for all. Next day was our turn for Mass at the grotto. After we did the stations of the cross. After lunch we visited Bartres and on our way back we said good bye to His Grace as he had an appointment elsewhere. Our last day we had Mass at St. Cosmas and Damien chapel said farewell at the grotto then after lunch it was time to head for home after what was another wonderful pilgrimage.
